Shawn Davey is a senior creative leader with over 18 years of experience in omni-channel luxury fashion, hospitality & brand. Specialising in maximising the potential of large scale, multidisciplinary creative teams across campaign, content and studio ecosystems.

 

Currently based in Dubai as Executive Director of Creative Studio at Jumeirah Group, Shawn is responsible for leading the Group’s global creative studio function, supporting the continued evolution and elevation of one of the world’s most iconic luxury hospitality brands.

Shawn previously served as Director of Creative for Chalhoub Group, the leading partner of luxury, fashion and beauty in the Middle East, operating across eight countries and more than 600 stores.

During his tenure at Chalhoub Group, he spearheaded the development of ‘One Studio,’ a cutting-edge creative hub delivering world-class, localised creative solutions for Chalhoub-owned and partner brands across the GCC region. This strategic initiative was pivotal in accelerating the Group’s expansion into e-commerce, where Shawn led both internal and external teams in the design and execution of a purpose-built studio campus while establishing a centralised content function at the One Studio headquarters.

Earlier in his career, Shawn held the position of Head of Art Direction at Selfridges & Co. He led an in-house team of more than 60 creative professionals. In this role, he created a considered and cohesive synergy between e-commerce studio production and brand storytelling within the Selfridges ecosystem.

Originally hailing from London, Shawn began his career contributing to the design and fine art world, with work exhibited by Olafur Eliasson at the Reykjavík Museum of Contemporary Art as part of the Serpentine Galleries’ touring Experiment Marathon exhibition.

Later, as Art Director at The Outnet (YOOX Net-a-Porter Group), Shawn led multidisciplinary teams across photoshoot direction, graphic design, UI and video content, collaborating with international supermodel talent to deliver global 360° campaigns across print, digital and out-of-home channels.

Shawn’s thoughtful and commercially astute creative leadership has been recognised through numerous achievements, including a Gold Clio Award for social media campaign excellence.

With deep expertise in the creative function within commerce — spanning in-house brand leadership and agency collaboration — Shawn builds profitable creative ecosystems and enables established brands to expand into new territories.
